Wedding Day Makeovers

As bridal season is in full swing - and the readying of those vows, I've been speaking at many bridal expos this sason here in Southern CA. Setting up a booth at any trade show is exhausting, time consuming, but truly so much fun at the end of the day. The energy in the room is amazing, visitors come up with some of the most interesting questions, and the vendors really become great buddies by the end of the day.

As I set up my booth with my make-up artist Manning, we were greeted by a fun & friendly team at Macy's who had a booth next to mine. It took a team of 5 hard working ladies to get their booth set up including china displays, champagne flutes, the backdrop, etc etc. When you're setting up a booth it's often a "roll up your sleeves" kind of day and there's little time for hair, make-up or touch-ups.

Toward the end of the day, I decided I wanted to have a little fun and reward one of these hard working Macy's ladies with a little pick-me-up at the end of her day. Manning took to her make-up brushes, and I, of course - took to my favorite powertool - the hairdryer. Within 10-15 minutes, she had a fresh look, felt red carpet ready, and her team was so happy for her. It was a great way to celebrate a hard working day, and I think she looks quite glamorous. Don't you?

Enjoy,

Billy Lowe
